Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Below is a list of the cookies and similar technologies (browser storage) actually used on Pixebag — we don't list something we don't actually use (e.g. Google Analytics) just because it's common elsewhere.
1. Essential cookies
When you sign in to your account, our authentication system (Supabase) uses a cookie to keep your session open. Without this cookie you can't stay signed in — it can't be disabled, but it's only created once you sign in.
2. Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement (page views, countries, browsers). Per Cloudflare's own documentation, it does not use cookies or localStorage and does not "fingerprint" individuals via IP address, User Agent string, or any other data — so it adds nothing to the cookie/localStorage lists on this page. We don't use Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, or any other analytics tool that tracks individuals across sessions (for advertising cookies, see section 3).
3. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show ads on the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising inGoogle Ads Settings, and out of other vendors' cookies ataboutads.info. The files you process in our tools are never shared with ad providers; they never leave your device.
4. Browser storage (not cookies, similar purpose)
Some features use your browser's own storage. These are not classic cookies; they stay on this device, in this browser, and are never sent to our servers. The list below is every entry the site actually uses (as of 2026-10-05).
| Entry | Type | Purpose | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|---|
| pixebag_sky | localStorage | Your chosen look (light/dark sky theme) | Until you delete it |
| pixebag_recent_tools | localStorage | The “Recently used” list on the home page (tool names only) | Until you delete it; a few entries at most |
| pixebag-pdf-suite-saved-signatures | localStorage | Signature images you chose to “Save” while signing a PDF (up to 5) | Until you delete it; removable one by one in the tool |
| pixebag:tour-optout:… | localStorage | Your “don't show again” choice for a tool's guided tour | Until you delete it |
| daily usage counter | localStorage | Counter for tools with a daily limit (no limit is active at present) | That day |
| pixebag_browser_banner_dismissed | sessionStorage | Remembers that you closed the browser recommendation banner | Deleted when the tab closes |
| supabase_login_checked, supabase_birthday_checked | sessionStorage | Signed-in users only: one-off checks within a session | Deleted when the tab closes |
| pixebag-tool-handoff | IndexedDB | A file passed with “Send to another tool” (e.g. cut-out image → upscaler) | Deleted as soon as the target tool opens; otherwise when the tab closes (30 min at most) |
| pixebag-recorder-handoff | IndexedDB | Passing a screen recording to the GIF tool | Deleted as soon as the GIF tool opens; otherwise when the tab closes |
| pixebag-model-cache-v1 | Cache Storage | AI model files for background removal, stickers and ID photos, downloaded once so the tool works without downloading them again. Contains no data from your images. | Until you delete it; “Delete model” in the background remover removes it |
| pixebag:coach-off:… | localStorage | Your “don’t show again” choice for a tool’s step-by-step help | Until you delete it |
A document you open in the PDF tools is kept only in the browser's memory and is never written to any storage; it disappears when you close the tab or reload the page.
5. What we don't use
We do NOT use Google Analytics or third-party tracking pixels. Advertising cookies come only from Google AdSense, described above.
6. How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies and localStorage from your browser settings at any time. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in; the core (no-login-required) functionality of other tools is unaffected.
